Jack weaned himself slowly (over about 3-4 weeks) once I was expecting baby #2. The last time I offered to let him nurse (I was already 12 weeks along) he laughed at me like I was so silly! It was so nice that it wasn't a painful process for either of us and I'm glad I was able to breastfeed exclusively for a year.
